The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team will travel to Colorado for a non-conference match against Fort Lewis College. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Dirks Field in Durango.

This will be the fifteenth meeting between Eastern New Mexico and Fort Lewis, with Fort Lewis holding a 10-2-2 advantage in the series. Eastern New Mexico has not defeated Fort Lewis since September 14, 2025, when they won 1-0 in Portales. The Greyhounds have lost all five previous matches played in Durango.
Eastern New Mexico was picked to finish fourteenth in the Lone Star Conference preseason poll. Gaia Chies, Cristina Boluda Piqueras, and Rosie Willmott Joyce were named players to watch this season. The team brought in five first-year players and returns seven from last year’s squad.
In their most recent outing, Eastern New Mexico was leading 1-0 against New Mexico Highlands before the match was canceled due to lightning in the 56th minute. Mia Jackson scored the goal with an assist from Faith Zint. Goalkeeper Aja Gonzales made five saves in that match's first half and recorded ten saves in a previous game against Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
After facing Fort Lewis, Eastern New Mexico will remain in Colorado for another non-conference road match against Adams State on Saturday.
Fort Lewis College enters the match ranked fifth in the RMAC preseason poll after finishing last season with a 9-6-6 overall record and a 5-4-3 mark in conference play. For the first time since 2016, Fort Lewis received votes in the United Soccer Coaches national poll this season. They started their campaign with a tie against St. Mary’s University and a win over St. Edward’s University—both Lone Star Conference teams. Through two matches, Fort Lewis has yet to concede a goal, with veteran defenders Danielle Gonzales, Renee Junna, Amber Otts, and Ann Spence playing full-time minutes.
