Western New Mexico University Athletics has announced a partnership with FanWord, an AI-powered platform focused on collegiate sports storytelling. The collaboration aims to enhance the way WNMU shares stories about its student-athletes, coaches, staff, and the wider Mustang community.

"At Western New Mexico University, we believe every student-athlete has a story worth telling.  Partnering with FanWord allows us to elevate those stories and share them in ways that are not only more efficient, but more meaningful. This collaboration reflects our commitment to innovation, student success, and building deeper connections with our Mustang community." said Matthew Enriquez, Athletic Director.

The FanWord Assist tool provides automated transcription services, customizable templates, and user-friendly design options. These features allow WNMU Athletics staff to create content such as game recaps and roster updates more quickly and consistently.

Chris Aumueller, CEO of FanWord, stated: "FanWord is built to help collegiate programs tell their stories at scale while preserving authenticity and quality. We're proud to work with Western New Mexico University to showcase their exceptional student-athletes and programs. This partnership aligns with our shared vision of empowering athletic departments to create professional, engaging content efficiently, while celebrating the unique qualities that make each program stand out."

WNMU is part of NCAA Division II and the Lone Star Conference (LSC). More information about Mustang Athletics can be found at www.wnmumustangs.com or by visiting wnmu.edu for general university details.
