New Mexico United has secured midfielder Carlos Moguel Jr. on loan from Louisville City FC for the rest of the 2025 USL Championship season. The move is subject to league and federation approval.
Sporting Director Itamar Keinan expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, "Carlos is a talented young player, and we’re excited to have him join us for the remainder of the season." He added that Moguel's "competitive spirit and aggressive presence in the midfield really stood out."
Moguel, who is 22 years old, comes to Albuquerque after playing with Louisville during the first half of the season. A product of Louisville's academy, he has accumulated over 50 appearances in the USL Championship since his debut in 2021. His arrival aims to bolster New Mexico United's midfield as they approach the end of their regular season.
Moguel will be available for selection this weekend when New Mexico United faces Sacramento Republic FC at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park.
