New Mexico United has announced the acquisition of midfielder Carlos Moguel Jr. on loan from Louisville City FC for the remainder of the 2025 USL Championship season. The move is subject to approval by the league and federation.

“Carlos is a talented young player, and we’re excited to have him join us for the remainder of the season,” said New Mexico United Sporting Director Itamar Keinan. “His competitive spirit and aggressive presence in the midfield really stood out to us. I look forward to seeing the impact he’ll make in Black and Yellow.”

Moguel, who is 22 years old, comes to Albuquerque after playing with Louisville during the first half of this year’s season. He has been part of Louisville’s academy system and made his professional debut in 2021. Since then, he has appeared in over 50 USL Championship matches. His arrival gives New Mexico United more options in midfield as they approach the final games of their regular season.

The club stated that Moguel will be available for selection when New Mexico United faces Sacramento Republic FC at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park this weekend.
