New Mexico United has announced the signing of forward Luther Archimède from Monterey Bay FC. The club acquired Archimède, who is an international player for Guadeloupe, to add strength and depth to its attacking options.

“We are excited to add Luther to our club,” said New Mexico United’s Sporting Director Itamar Keinan. “In addition to being a proven goal scorer in our league, he is a tenacious, hardworking player and adds a level of physical presence we wanted to add to our team.”

Archimède, 25, played two seasons with Monterey Bay FC, making 15 appearances. During the 2024 season, he appeared in 11 matches—starting five—and recorded 444 minutes on the field with five shots. In early 2025, he made four more appearances and played an additional 99 minutes.

At the international level, Archimède has represented Guadeloupe in CONCACAF competitions. His playing style is described as physical and athletic with strong movement and hold-up play.

“I’m excited to be here and ready to fight alongside my teammates to give the fans and the city the love they deserve,” said Archimède.

Archimède started his professional career in the U.S. after being selected by the New York Red Bulls in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft. He previously played at Syracuse University before moving into professional soccer.

His availability for selection will depend on league and federation approval.
