Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) Athletics has announced new tailgating guidelines for the upcoming 2025 football season. The changes are aimed at making the game day experience more accessible and enjoyable for fans.
"When I arrived at Eastern New Mexico, I saw a high potential to make changes to improving our tailgate experience," said director of athletics Kevin Fite. "Tailgating can now start at 8 a.m. on game days and have expanded the space to all lots west of the stadium. We are looking forward to creating more memories with our fans, alumni, and community as we enhance our tailgating experience and support ENMU football this fall."
Under the revised rules, tailgating will be allowed to begin at 8 a.m. for each of the six home games in 2025 and will continue until kickoff. After kickoff, tailgating activities must stop. Fans will now have access to Lots A, B, and C west of the stadium for their gatherings. Restrictions on alcohol consumption during tailgating have also been lifted.
RV users will be able to park in a designated area starting at 5 p.m. on the day before each Greyhound football game.
Reserved tailgating spots in Lot B are available for purchase through the official athletics website at www.goeasternathletics.com.
The home schedule features matchups against New Mexico Highlands on August 28, Angelo State on September 13, Western Oregon on October 11, Western New Mexico on October 25, Sul Ross State on November 1, and Texas A&M-Kingsville on November 15.
Special promotions are planned throughout the season. Dawg Houze is sponsoring an "Official Greyhound Athletics Tailgating Cup" giveaway for the first 500 tailgaters during the opening game against New Mexico Highlands. Western Commerce Bank will provide t-shirts for 750 attendees during Military Appreciation Night when ENMU faces Angelo State.
