Eastern New Mexico University's women's basketball team has released its schedule for the 2025-26 season. Head Coach Blake Huber announced that the Greyhounds will play a total of 28 games, along with one exhibition match, as they look to continue their progress following a strong 2024-25 campaign.
The schedule includes eight non-conference games, which will take the team to Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Nevada. The Greyhounds will also compete in 20 Lone Star Conference (LSC) games. Eleven of these contests will be played at home in Portales, with the home opener set for December 1 against Southwestern Oklahoma State.
The season begins on November 14 in Colorado with an away game against Regis, followed by a matchup with Adams State on November 15. Eastern New Mexico has defeated Adams State each of the past two seasons; Adams State made NCAA Tournament appearances in both 2024 and 2025. The team then travels to Oklahoma to face Oklahoma Baptist on November 18 before participating in the Newman Classic in Wichita, Kansas. There, ENMU will play Fort Hays State on November 21 and Newman on November 22. Fort Hays State reached the second round of last season's NCAA Tournament and finished ranked #12 in the final Women's Basketball Coaches Association Poll.
In early December, ENMU faces three programs from Oklahoma: starting at home against Southwestern Oklahoma State (December 1), then hosting Cameron (December 4) and Oklahoma Christian (December 6). The first semester of conference play concludes with a road game against UT Dallas on December 11—the first meeting between the teams as conference opponents. Before winter break, ENMU heads to Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Viking Classic to play Western Washington (December 19) and Simon Fraser (December 20).
An exhibition game is scheduled at New Mexico State in Las Cruces on December 29. To start January, ENMU plays Sul Ross State away on January 2 and then visits Western New Mexico on January 4. The team's first home games of the new year are against St. Edward's (January 8) and St. Mary's (January 10). After a trip to Midwestern State on January 15, Eastern enters a challenging stretch facing four LSC teams that reached last year's NCAA Tournament: Lubbock Christian away (January 17), followed by home games against West Texas A&M (January 22), Texas Woman's (January 29), and UT Tyler (January 31).
In February, Eastern plays five out of eight regular-season games on the road within a six-game span—starting with trips to Oklahoma Christian (February 5), Cameron (February 7), and West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas (February 10). A home contest versus UT Dallas takes place February 14 before more travel to face Texas A&M International (February 19) and Texas A&M-Kingsville (February 21). The regular season concludes at home against UT Permian Basin (February 26) and Angelo State (February 28).
Coach Huber stated: "With just over 100 days until the season opener, Eastern New Mexico Head Women's Basketball Coach Blake Huber has announced the 2025-26 schedule, looking to build-off a standout 2024-25 season."
The release of this schedule comes as anticipation builds among fans for another competitive year for Eastern New Mexico women's basketball.
