Western New Mexico University senior Arnav Arkanath has been named a 2024–25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The recognition highlights both his academic and athletic performance.
Arkanath played in all 10 tournaments during his senior year, maintaining a 74.6 stroke average. He was instrumental in leading the Mustangs to a 2023-2024 NCAA Regional Championship. In addition to his contributions on the course, Arkanath graduated with a 4.0 GPA and received the NCAA Elite 90 Award, which is given to the top academic performer at the Division II Men's Golf Championship.
He is one of 207 Division II student-athletes across the country to earn this honor. To qualify for the award, recipients must have at least a 3.2 GPA, participate in more than half of their team’s rounds, and demonstrate strong character and campus standing.
