The 2025 Legislative Conference, organized by the New Mexico Association of REALTORS®, is scheduled to take place from January 28 to 30 at La Fonda in Santa Fe. This event will feature several sessions aimed at addressing current issues and developments in the real estate industry.
Elizabeth Mendenhall, a past president of the National Association of REALTORS®, will deliver a session titled "Advocating for an Industry Under Attack." Ashley Strauss-Martin, Esq., General Counsel for the New Mexico Association of REALTORS®, will conduct a Legal Update session offering two continuing education credits on January 29.
The conference opens on January 28 with committee meetings at NMAR Headquarters, which do not require registration. Committees such as Legislative, Credentials, Issues Advocacy, Benevolent Fund, and Finance Training will be convening.
January 29 marks the main day of the conference, requiring registration to participate. Attendees can look forward to sessions including a General Session with Elizabeth Mendenhall and a celebratory Installation Lunch for the incoming 2025 President and Board of Directors. An evening RPAC Fundraiser event requires separate tickets.
The final day, January 30, is dedicated to NM REALTORS® Day at La Fonda and Roundhouse. This day focuses on association business and advocacy efforts without any registration fees. Activities include District Caucuses, a Board of Directors meeting, and a REALTOR® Party Lunch followed by advocacy efforts at the Roundhouse.
Registration fees vary depending on when attendees register: $200 for regular registration until December 31; $225 from January 1 to January 15; and $250 from January 16 to January 20. Individual tickets for specific events like the Installation Lunch and RPAC Fundraiser are also available.
