Bernalillo County is seeking input from business members for its economic development plan. The county is reaching out to the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce (GACC) members to gather suggestions and feedback.

The aim is to create jobs and expand businesses in the region through partnerships between the public and private sectors. "Creating jobs and expanding businesses in our region is job No. 1, and it takes public and private sector partnerships to make it happen," said a representative.

There are three ways for members to participate: an online survey, focus groups, or community meetings. The Bernalillo County Economic Development Stakeholder Survey, available in Vietnamese, English, and Spanish, can be completed online by July 25.

Focus groups will target various business sectors and community leaders from July 22 to July 24. These sessions will last two hours each. On-site translation services will be provided if needed.

In-person meetings titled “Dynamic Conversations on Economic Development” will also take place at several locations. These include Taylor Ranch Branch Library on July 29, Vista Grande Community Center on August 9, and Hiland Theater on August 14. Light refreshments, children's activities, and translation services will be available at these events.

Community members are encouraged to participate in this effort to help improve the local economy with the GACC's support.
