Following this, they are interviewed by an Endorsement Committee composed of LGBTQ leaders from across the state. The final endorsement decisions are made by the Board of Directors based on recommendations from this committee.

The endorsed candidates have committed to upholding Equality New Mexico's values and approaching policy with an intersectional perspective. They aim to contribute to ongoing efforts for liberation through their roles in Santa Fe's Roundhouse.

The primary election is scheduled for June 4, and Equality New Mexico encourages community members to support these candidates.
