This evening marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, also known as Yom Teruah, which signifies the start of the Jewish new year and the first of the Jewish High Holy Days. The celebration includes feasting, shofar blasts, and prayers for a reconnection with God.
In a statement, the Republican Party of New Mexico expressed their wishes for this occasion: "May this new year bring an end to the antisemitism in our country, a safe return of all the hostages and peace in Israel and the Middle East."
The party extended their greetings to the Jewish community by saying, "The Republican Party of New Mexico wishes all of our Jewish friends a Happy and Sweet Rosh Hashanah! Shana Tova!"
