ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

The New Mexico Association of REALTORS® (NMAR) is calling for volunteers to join several key committees for the 2025-27 term. The association values the contributions of its members and seeks dedicated individuals to help advance its goals.

The Bylaws Committee is responsible for reviewing and revising NMAR Bylaws and Operating Policies annually. They meet during NMAR January Meetings and as needed, with policy amendments considered by the NMAR Board of Directors (BOD) and bylaws amendments voted on at the Annual Membership Meeting.

The Finance Committee reviews financial statements, budgets, audit results, recommends auditors, and prepares the next year's program-based budget for a vote at the Annual Conference. This committee meets during NMAR January Meetings and as necessary to review monthly financials. It is chaired by the NMAR Treasurer.

The Forms Committee collaborates with legal counsel to develop or amend forms necessary for conducting business legally and professionally in New Mexico. This committee meets 6 to 8 times a year as needed. Due to its popularity, space on this committee is limited.

The Growth & Involvement Subcommittee requires members to be graduates of the G&I Program. This group promotes and reviews the REALTOR® Growth and Involvement Program, training members for leadership roles within their member Board and at the State Association. Meetings are held as needed.

The Issues Advocacy Fund (IAF) Committee develops rules governing the operation of the IAF, reviews requests for fund use, and makes recommendations to the Executive Committee. They meet as required.

The Member Technology & Services Committee serves as an information resource for all NMAR members. The committee investigates additional benefits that may be offered to members, encompassing technology, communication, outreach, grants, and technical assistance.

The Professional Development Committee focuses on providing educational opportunities related to professional real estate practices. They oversee the New Mexico Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) program including course updates, marketing plans, instructor reviews, and determining additional instructor needs. There will be two subcommittees under this committee.

Lastly, the Strategic Planning Committee monitors progress toward meeting goals outlined in NMAR's Strategic Plan. Meetings are held as needed.

Applications are due by October 4, 2024. Interested members should send their completed forms to kim@nmrealtor.com.
