Streets Management will be applying a chip seal surface treatment on various city streets beginning Monday, August 5, 2024, with expected completion in four days. Residents and businesses will be notified 24 hours prior to the commencement of work.
"We ask that you do not park cars on the street for the duration of the project."
The affected streets include:
- Colorado Ave. from Solano Dr. to Smith Ave.
- Delta Dr. from Arizona Ave. to Nevada Ave.
- Lester Ave. from Nevada Ave. to Lester Ct.
- Utah Ave. from Solano Dr. to Luna St.
- Augustus Rd. from Butler St. to Bridger Ave.
- Hermosa St. from Hadley Ave. to May Ave.
- Lupton Pl. from Bridger Ave. to Augustus Rd.
- Lyon Pl. from Morgan Pl. to Macleod Rd.
- Morgan Pl. from Bridger Ave. to Macleod Rd.
- Fourth St. from Picacho Ave. to Parker Rd.
- Mimbres St. from Smith Ave. to Cul-De-Sac
- Nevarez St. from Las Cruces Ave. to Griggs Ave.
- Rio Grande St. from Lees Dr. to Nevada Ave.
- Smith Ave., Del Monte St., Colorado Ave., Bridger Ave., Buchanan Ave., Macleod Rd., Butler St., Sheryl Way, Delano Dr.
Work will primarily occur in City Council District #3, with some sections extending into Districts #1 and #4.
For public convenience, crews will work between 7 a.m and 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, August 8, 2024.
"Access to residences and businesses will be maintained with periodic closures during the construction period," stated a representative of Streets Management.
Motorists are urged to use caution or seek alternate routes during this time.
RoadRunner Transit routes will remain unaffected by the construction activities.
The City has confirmed that no conflicting public or private construction projects are scheduled in the immediate area during this period.
