On Saturday, August 17, Mayor Tim Keller will host the State of the City event and deliver his annual address at the Albuquerque BioPark Zoo.

This free event offers families an opportunity to come together, learn about the city’s priorities and initiatives, and enjoy a family picnic night at the zoo. Pre-registration is required due to limited space. Interested attendees can use the ticket link to reserve spots for their families.

Event details are as follows:

Date: Saturday, August 17, 2024

Gates Open: 5:45 p.m.

Mayor's State of the City Address: 6:15 p.m.

City Department Expo and Animal Habitat Viewing: 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Location: ABQ BioPark Zoo, 903 10th St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102

Attendees will have the chance to learn about Mayor Keller’s initiatives for Albuquerque’s future, meet representatives from various city departments, participate in interactive activities for all ages, visit zoo animal habitats, and enjoy live music. Free admission is available for those arriving before 6:30 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics (outside food and drinks are allowed). Zoo concessions will also be open. The first attendees will receive a free One Albuquerque picnic blanket while supplies last (limited to one per family).

Prohibited items include glass bottles, outside alcoholic beverages (zoo concessions will have adult beverages available for purchase), weapons, noisemakers, and large posters or signs.
