Albuquerque’s Heights Summerfest returns with music, food vendors, and family activities

The City of Albuquerque's Heights Summerfest is set to take place on Saturday, June 15, from 5 to 10 p.m. at North Domingo Baca Park. This free event aims to bring families, friends, and neighbors together to celebrate the beginning of summer with music, food, and local businesses.

Headlining the event is The Original Wailers, featuring Al Anderson. Known for his work with Bob Marley, Anderson will perform at 8:30 p.m., bringing the iconic reggae sound to Albuquerque. The band includes Chet Samuel, Omar Lopez, Paapa Nyarkoh, and Adrian AK Cisneros.

Local entertainers scheduled to perform include The NOMS at 5 p.m., Alex Maryol at 6 p.m., and Red Light Cameras at 7 p.m.

Attendees can enjoy a variety of foods from over 20 vendors offering options from spicy chicken to ice cream. Local breweries, distilleries, and wineries will be present in The Cantina with award-winning creations. Additionally, local businesses and artisans will showcase handmade products at The Shops. Free activities for children include face painting, inflatable jump houses, and a 25-foot climbing wall.

North Domingo Baca Park is located at 7521 Carmel NE. Guests can park in the north lot at North Domingo Baca Park and the Multi-Generational Center. Free parking is also available at La Cueva High School with complimentary shuttles transporting attendees from La Cueva High School to North Domingo Baca Park from 4 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.

Heights Summerfest is open to the public and welcomes pets on leashes. This event will proceed rain or shine. Event sponsors include iHeart Radio.
