Nusenda Credit Union conducted its 88th annual meeting on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in Albuquerque, N.M. The meeting highlighted the Credit Union’s commitment to its members and the community, showcasing its successes, growth, and support in 2023.
According to the press release, members received more than $62 million in direct savings through Nusenda Credit Union, and over $8.6 million in cash was returned to members through various bonus dividends and rewards programs. Additionally, the Credit Union, along with the Nusenda Foundation and its employees, donated $1.9 million to communities and individuals across the state.
Judy Cartmell, Martin Serna, and Ralph Wallace were elected to serve on Nusenda’s Board of Directors for three-year terms during the annual meeting. Cartmell, retired from the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, has been on the board since 2004. Serna, retired from Central New Mexico Community College, has served on the board since 1991. Wallace, currently Senior Director of Business Systems with Albuquerque Public Schools, has been a board member since 1997.
Nusenda Credit Union, established in 1936, serves communities from Taos to Las Cruces, as well as locations in El Paso, Texas. Joe Christian serves as the President and CEO of Nusenda Credit Union.
