Bernalillo County has issued a warning to the public about potential delays on Bridge Boulevard this weekend. The delays are due to ongoing construction work as part of the Bridge Boulevard Corridor Redevelopment Plan. The project, which is currently in its second phase, aims to improve the corridor from the Atrisco Riverside Drain to Young Avenue.

Starting from Friday, Feb. 9, traffic patterns and signals will be adjusted in the area to accommodate utility work. Motorists should anticipate longer wait times and delays until Tuesday, Feb. 13. The construction work is necessary for the New Mexico Gas company to remove and install new infrastructure.

"We want to inform the public about the potential delays they may experience on Bridge Boulevard this weekend," said a spokesperson from Bernalillo County. "These delays are necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project."

Phase 2 of the project is expected to be completed by this fall. Despite the ongoing construction, businesses along the corridor will remain open to the public.

The Bridge Boulevard Corridor Redevelopment Plan aims to enhance the overall infrastructure and accessibility of the area. The completion of this project will not only improve traffic flow but also provide a safer and more efficient commute for residents and commuters.

The public is advised to plan their travel accordingly and consider alternative routes if possible. Bernalillo County urges motorists to exercise caution and patience while navigating through the construction zone.

For further updates and information regarding the Bridge Boulevard construction project, residents are encouraged to visit the official website of Bernalillo County or contact the county's transportation department.

As the construction work progresses, Bernalillo County will continue to provide updates on any future potential delays or changes in traffic patterns.
