The New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department has announced the 45th Annual Conference on Aging, a two-day event dedicated to celebrating and recognizing the vital contributions of seniors to the community. According to a press release, the conference aims to inspire, educate, and empower seniors and their caregivers.
The conference will feature keynote speakers who are experts in aging-related fields, offering insights on various topics. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in interactive workshops that provide practical solutions for everyday challenges faced by seniors and caregivers. The event will also include an exhibition hall with diverse exhibitors, networking opportunities, and a cultural experience at the National Hispanic Cultural Center.

"This event is an opportunity to celebrate the wisdom and resilience of our senior community while providing them with the tools and support they need to live their best lives right here in the Land of Enchantment."
The conference is scheduled to take place on November 13-14, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There will also be an evening event on November 13, 2023, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at The Clyde Hotel in downtown Albuquerque, which is included in the conference registration.
Registration for the conference requires a nominal fee of $10. This fee includes access to both the daytime conference sessions and the evening event.
The New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department serves as the state's Aging and Disability Resource Center. Established in 2004, the department oversees Adult Protective Services and the Unit on Aging. They work alongside New Mexico's Aging Network, providing in-home and community services, caregiver support, and hunger relief.
