Next month's crime crisis event by the New Mexico Business Coalition will give state residents a chance to understand crime in Albuquerque, coalition CEO and President Carla Sonntag said in a news release about the event.
The ABQ Crime Crisis BASH, a business and social Hour, is planned 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 10 at Revel Entertainment, Albuquerque on 4720 Alexander Blvd NE in Albuquerque, according to the news release.
"This is a great opportunity for New Mexicans to understand what's happening with crime in the state's largest city," Sonntag said in the news release. "Participants will learn what is driving the epidemic and what is being done to resolve the growing concerns. Crime-related questions from the audience will be addressed by all three presenters."
Albuquerque City Council members Renee Grout (District 9) and Louie Sanchez (District 1) are expected to participated and a presentation by Smart Approaches to Marijuana (SAM) also is planned.
Tickets for the event will include a Mediterranean-style buffet with a variety of meats, salads and more, provided by Chello Grill. Attendees also will have access to Revel Entertainment multiple venues and a cash bar.
Seating is limited and early registration is encouraged. Sponsorship opportunities also are available.
New Mexico Business Coalition is an organization that seeks to better the state of New Mexico through advocacy, education, and unity, according to information on its website.
