Obituary

William (Bill) Glen Wright

1934 – 2022

Bill passed away peacefully on September 25 in Gilbert Arizona after a long battle with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.  Bill was 87 years old and was a longtime resident of Bosque Farms.

Glen as he was known to his sisters and his brother and Bill as he was known to all of his friends was preceded in death by his father and mother, Bud and Ora Mae Wright, both of Oklahoma; his wife of over 50 years Jo Meda; his sisters Gail, Wilma and Doris and his brother Raymond, all of Oklahoma.

He is survived by his son, Larry Wright and wife Liz of Chandler Arizona; his daughter Shellie Wright of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Landon, Lucas and Lauriel Wright and his great granddaughter Leah Wright of Chandler Arizona; his two sisters Barbara Garant of Denver Colorado and Mary Edna Trammel and husband Dennis of Tecumseh Oklahoma and brother-in-law Danny Faulkenberry and wife Margaret of Centerton Arkansas.

Bill joined the Air Force as a young man and traveled to several bases across the U.S. and internationally to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.  He was an active citizen in the Bosque Farms community serving as a volunteer in the fire department and president of the rodeo association.

Bill led a wonderful, full life always surrounded by friends and family. He was always the guy that would help anyone, anytime. He loved spending time out in his garden growing fresh fruits and vegetables.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with friends and family and especially enjoyed going up to their place in Pagosa Springs where he and Jo Meda would spend the majority of their summers on the San Juan River enjoying the cooler air of the mountains.  If he wasn’t doing any of those things you could always find him working on some project out in his shop.  He always looked forward to the fall when the sandhill cranes were migrating through New Mexico.  Several cranes came to know his fields as home and would return year after year because they knew he would feed them corn everyday until it was time for them to set sail on their long journey. He especially loved going to all of the ball games of his kids and grandkids over the years. It was very seldom that he and Jo Meda ever missed a game regardless of how far they had to travel.

Rest in peace Bill, you are truly loved by all who have known you and will be greatly missed.
