Greene, Walter Anthony

Walter Anthony Greene Sr. passed away at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Sunday, September 5, 2021 after suffering health complications. He was 64 years old.

Walter was born in the Bronx, New York on October 21, 1956. After graduating high school he served in the Unites States Army which allowed him to travel throughout the world.

Walter was preceded in death by his father Nathaniel Lewis Greene and mother Ruth Ann Bradley Greene in addition to brothers Nathaniel and Steven Greene and sister Lorraine Greene. He is survived by four sisters Carolyn McKinney, Diane Thomas, Natalie Samuel, and Valerie Greene. He is also survived by his three children Angela Harvey, Walter Greene Jr., and Steven Greene as well as 16 grandchildren, nineteen nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11 am at Strong-Thorne Funeral Home located at 1100 Coal Ave. SE in Albuquerque, NM.
