University of New Mexico Quarterback Terry Wilson is soaking it all in after being named to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Watch List on Aug. 18.

Wilson officially transferred from the University of Kentucky on Aug. 17 and will be the starting QB for the Lobos, KRQE reported.

Wilson is 6-foot-3 and 202 pounds. He ranks third in terms of career completion percentage and eighth in total offense in Kentucky history.

Beginning his college career in Oregon, Wilson then transferred to Garden City Community College in Kansas and then Kentucky, where he led the Wildcats to a 10-3 season in 2018.

"This is my last year so I am just putting it all out there," Wilson told KRQE.

Wilson was the only player in University of Kentucky history to have a 17-8 record as a starter with 3,436 passing yards and 1,015 rushing yards, told by KRQE.

When asked about the transfer, Wilson seemed optimistic.

"Just come out here and be able to compete during fall count and have fun with the guys and be able to learn (the) offense, I feel like I've accomplished a lot and am working on fixing some things, but feels pretty good," he said in a video posted on his Twitter account on Aug. 17.

The Unitas Golden Arm Award winner will be announced on Dec. 10, according to KRQE.
