UNM 68th Annual Research Lectureship for Career Achievement award announced

The University of New Mexico (UNM) announced that Felisa Smith, a Distinguished Professor, has been chosen for the 68th Annual Research Lectureship for Career Achievement award. Smith, recognized for her outstanding contributions, holds the position of distinguished professor in the UNM Department of Biology, according to a press release by UNM.


NMSU faculty honored as top global scientists by Stanford and Elsevier

New Mexico State University (NMSU) announced that 40 of its researchers were recently recognized among the top 2 percent of scientists globally in a list regularly updated by Stanford University and Elsevier. The list has increased compared to the previous year, as reported by the publishers of the list, rising from 25 in the preceding year, according to a press release by NMSU.


NMSU NM FAST to host 7th  SBIR/STTR innovation summit

New Mexico State University (NMSU) announced the seventh annual New Mexico Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Innovation Summit. Los Alamos supports winter warmth with free firewood for tribal communities

Los Alamos National Laboratory announced it has provided free firewood, cleared from its property during on-site wildfire mitigation efforts this year, to warm woodstoves and kiva fireplaces this winter. Tribal members from the neighboring Accord Pueblos of San Ildefonso, Santa Clara, Cochiti, and Jemez collected hundreds of cords of firewood from the Laboratory's property to repurpose the timber, according to a press release by Los Alamos National Laboratory.
