New Mexico United will open its 2026 USL Championship home schedule on March 28, hosting Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC at The Lab. The announcement was made as part of the league’s release of home opener dates for all teams.
Before returning to their home stadium, New Mexico United will start the season with an away match against Oakland Roots SC on March 14. According to the club, “United begins the season on the road with a March 14 trip to Oakland Roots SC before finally coming home to The Lab—where the club continues to lead the league in atmosphere, energy, and community impact.” The March 28 game marks the first opportunity for fans to see their team at home during the new campaign.
The USL Championship stated that this initial announcement provides supporters with an early look at each team’s path through the opening weeks of the season. “The announcement of home openers gives fans the first look at United’s early-season path, with the full 2026 USL Championship schedule set to be released on Tuesday, December 16. More details—including kickoff times, promotions, and theme nights—will be shared soon,” according to New Mexico United.
Other matches scheduled for March 28 include Hartford Athletic vs. Indy Eleven, Las Vegas Lights FC vs. Monterey Bay FC, and Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC vs. Sporting Club Jacksonville.
The full league schedule is expected to be published on December 16.
