Eastern New Mexico University's women's basketball team secured a 63-50 win over Oklahoma Christian on Saturday at the Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena in Portales, New Mexico. This victory marks the Greyhounds' fourth consecutive win and improves their record to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in Lone Star Conference play.

The Greyhounds maintained control throughout the game, using strong inside play and a balanced offensive approach. Junior forward Julieta Ceja led Eastern New Mexico with 15 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. Ceja's performance included seven offensive rebounds, helping her team dominate on the boards. "Ceja shot 5-of-13 from the field and knocked down a three-pointer while grabbing seven offensive rebounds to help ENMU control the glass," according to the university.

Senior guard Nataya Lockett added 16 points and one steal for ENMU, making five of her ten shots from the field and converting five out of six free throws. The team's focus on scoring in the paint was evident as they outscored Oklahoma Christian 30-18 in that area.

Eastern New Mexico established an early lead, finishing the first quarter ahead 13-7 and extending it to 33-22 by halftime. The Greyhounds held onto their double-digit advantage for the remainder of the game through steady defense and timely baskets.

Oklahoma Christian was led by Taylor Jackson with 19 points on efficient shooting but struggled with turnovers and consistency from beyond the arc, making only three of nine attempts.

ENMU's bench contributed significantly with 18 points. Tatiana Platonova recorded seven points, five rebounds, and two assists. Hannah Jensen and Martrice Brooks each added five points for Eastern New Mexico.

The Greyhounds shot just under 33 percent from the field but were effective at drawing fouls and converting free throws, making 20 out of 28 attempts (71.4 percent). In contrast, Oklahoma Christian managed only nine successful free throws out of eighteen attempts (50 percent).

Eastern New Mexico will aim to continue its winning streak when it faces UT Dallas next Thursday in another conference matchup.
