Eastern New Mexico women’s basketball seeks fourth straight win against Oklahoma Christian

The Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team will attempt to extend its three-game winning streak when it faces Oklahoma Christian on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena.

The Greyhounds, currently holding a 4-3 overall record and 1-0 in Lone Star Conference play, are coming off a decisive 76-36 win over Cameron. In that game, Aaliyah Smith contributed 14 points, three rebounds, and two steals, while Hannah Jensen added 10 points from the bench.

Smith leads the team this season with an average of 13.0 points per game. She is shooting 47.4 percent from the field and has recorded 16 steals so far. Julieta Ceja is providing secondary scoring with an average of 10.7 points per game and 5.7 rebounds, while also making more than half her attempts from three-point range. Chloe Dallas adds to the offense with averages of 10.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, as well as five blocks and a shooting percentage of 55.3 percent.

Eastern New Mexico is averaging 75.3 points per game offensively while limiting opponents to an average of 62.7 points per contest on defense. The team is shooting at a rate of 41.3 percent from the field and hitting three-pointers at a rate of 35.5 percent. Defensively, ENMU forces an average of over twenty-two turnovers per game and records just over thirteen steals.

Oklahoma Christian comes into Saturday's matchup with a matching record of four wins and three losses but is looking to rebound after falling to No.12 West Texas A&M by a score of 76-51 in conference play.

Kenzie Willis leads Oklahoma Christian with averages of 12.3 points and four rebounds per game, along with twelve steals this season and a free throw percentage of seventy-five percent. Allyah Leusogi-Ape contributes nearly ten points per contest while shooting forty-four percent from beyond the arc; Taylor Jackson adds nine points and just under six rebounds each outing.

Eastern New Mexico holds a slight edge in the all-time series between these programs at four wins to three.
