In the game against Colorado Christian, Harris scored 21 points and made five out of seven free throws. He also collected eight rebounds, contributing to Western New Mexico's competitive play throughout the match. In the following game versus New Mexico Highlands, Harris scored 18 points and made eight out of ten free throws, again adding eight rebounds.
Over the two games, Harris averaged 19.5 points and eight rebounds per game while shooting 72% from the free-throw line. These statistics were noted by coaches and voters in the Lone Star Conference.
Mark Bunker, head coach of Western New Mexico University's men's basketball team, commented on Harris's performance: "his consistency and physical presence have been critical to the team's progress early in the season."
