Secretary Anna Silva and Deputy Secretary Jennifer Conn of the New Mexico General Services Department recently hosted an appreciation luncheon for employees at the State Printing and Graphics office. The event took place on November 13, 2025, as a gesture to recognize the hard work of the staff.
During the luncheon, Silva expressed gratitude towards the employees, stating, "Thank you for all that you do for our agency. You accomplish so many amazing things with a very small staff and are such a valuable part of our GSD team." She also highlighted Rob Newlin, Director of State Printing, as their number one supporter. Silva quoted Newlin's praise about their professionalism and quality work.
Newlin shared insights into the department's financial success, noting a revenue growth exceeding 28% compared to the last similar session year. He remarked on this achievement by saying, "Most of my staff comes from private sector printing where to experience a 10% growth is huge. So, 28% growth in the industry is unheard of and we are doing this with less people." He credited this success to his team's dedication despite challenges like reduced federal funds and shutdowns.
