Junior Brian Norton of Eastern New Mexico University has been named to the 2025 Lone Star Conference (LSC) all-academic team for men's cross country. Norton, who is in his second season with the Greyhounds after transferring from Northwestern State, is pursuing a degree in business administration.
"I am happy for Brian (Norton)," said assistant cross country coach Keyanah Browning. "He takes his academics seriously and this recognition shows that."
To qualify for the LSC all-academic team, student-athletes must compete in more than half of their team's competitions, maintain at least a 3.30 grade point average, and have sophomore standing or higher. Norton is one of two juniors recognized among the five men’s honorees.
The selection process for the all-academic team involves votes from sports information directors within the Lone Star Conference. Other male student-athletes honored include representatives from DBU, Oklahoma Christian, St. Edward's University, and Western New Mexico.
