With the holiday season approaching, the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum in Las Cruces is set to host its 11th annual HomeGrown: A New Mexico Food Show & Gift Market on November 22-23. The event will feature a variety of award-winning food products from across the state.

The show, co-hosted by the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum and the New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA), will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10 per vehicle, with the first 100 vehicles each day receiving a complimentary shopping bag.

New Mexico Secretary of Agriculture Jeff Witte expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, "NMDA is proud to once again co-host HomeGrown with the Museum." He added that it showcases "the best of New Mexico’s food, beverage and craft products."

Approximately 60 vendors are expected at the event, including many NMDA's NEW MEXICO — Taste the Tradition / Grown with Tradition members. Attendees can sample and purchase locally produced items such as salsas, nuts, sauces, wine, crafts, art, Native American pottery, and jewelry.

Food demonstrations will be conducted by NEW MEXICO—Taste the Tradition Chef Ambassador Becky Windels from FARMesilla. Various food trucks will also provide lunch options during the show.

Some featured vendors include Phil’s Gourmet Sauces from Albuquerque and J.P.M’s Salsa from Las Cruces. Additionally, several New Mexico wineries will offer samples and sales by glass or bottle.

Doña Ana County 4-H members will sell decorated mini-Christmas trees and wreaths, with raffle tickets available for these items until a drawing at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

On Saturday morning, families can participate in an educational program about sheep and wool spinning offered by the Museum's Ag Wagon program.

The museum itself offers exhibits detailing 4,000 years of agricultural history in New Mexico without additional cost to visitors during this event weekend.
