Eastern New Mexico University's women's soccer team lost 4-0 to Oklahoma Christian in a Lone Star Conference match held Saturday at Eagle Soccer Field in Edmond, Oklahoma.
The Greyhounds, now holding a 0-10-0 overall record and 0-7-0 in conference play, managed only two shots during the game. Faith Zint and Samantha Wood were credited with those attempts. Goalkeeper Rosie Willmott Joyce made 12 saves as Oklahoma Christian applied consistent pressure, recording a total of 37 shots with 17 on target.
Oklahoma Christian improved its record to 5-5-1 overall and 3-4-0 in the conference. The Eagles scored their first goal early, with Caid Jefferson finding the net in the second minute. They added three more goals after halftime and maintained control throughout the match, earning 11 corner kicks compared to ENMU’s two.
Eastern New Mexico will try to recover from this defeat when they travel to Alpine, Texas, for a game against Sul Ross State on Wednesday, October 15.
