Eastern New Mexico falls to UT Dallas in home soccer match

The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team lost a home conference game to UT Dallas, 4-1, at Steve Loy Foundation Stadium on Wednesday. UT Dallas scored twice in the first half and added two more goals after halftime, building a 4-0 advantage.

Eastern New Mexico's only goal came in the 82nd minute when Louise Godden found the net from a corner kick. The shot slipped past the goalkeeper into the top left corner, marking Godden's first goal of the season.

UT Dallas recorded 13 shots with eight on target. The Greyhounds managed five shots, four of which were on goal. Goalkeeper Rosie Willmott Joyce made four saves during the match. Alongside Godden’s two attempts, Brooklyn Guajardo, Simone Brothers, and Sophia Jeffres each contributed one shot.

Eastern New Mexico will play its next conference match away against #4 DBU on Saturday at noon Mountain Time.
