Nicole Anderson, a junior forward for the Lobos, has been named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week. This announcement was made on Monday, marking Anderson's first weekly conference honor. Before the season began, she was identified as one of three Players to Watch for the Lobos.

In the season opener against Texas Southern, Anderson achieved her first collegiate hat trick by scoring three goals within the first 36 minutes. Her performance included an unassisted goal at 9:40 and two more goals at 17:58 and 35:10. She successfully converted all three shots in the first half into goals, marking her second multi-goal match as a Lobo.

Anderson is among four NCAA players who scored three or more goals in their season opener and is the only player from Mountain West with a hat trick. In terms of opening week matches, she is one of seven NCAA players with such a record and again stands alone in her conference.

Currently, Anderson ranks tied for fourth in total goals across the NCAA, tied for 19th in goals per match, and tied for 27th in points per match this season. She leads the Mountain West in all these categories.
