The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is set to bring back its "Breakfast with the Curators" lecture series this August. The event offers attendees a chance to engage with artists, anthropologists, scholars, and curators over breakfast at the Museum Hill Cafe. Following breakfast, participants can enjoy presentations, gallery tours, and behind-the-scenes experiences at the museum.
The program begins at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast and continues until 10:30 a.m., featuring presentations and exhibition tours. Tickets are priced at $40 for general admission and $35 for members of the Museum of New Mexico Foundation. Admission to the museum is included in the ticket price, but advance reservations are necessary.
On August 12, the series will feature "Makowa: The Worlds Above Us," with co-curators Dr. Elisabeth Stone and Marlon Magdalena leading the breakfast and exhibition tour. Dr. Stone is the Deputy Director of the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, while Magdalena serves as Instructional Coordinator for Jemez Historic Site.
The Museum of Indian Arts & Culture operates under the Department of Cultural Affairs and is supported by the Museum of New Mexico Foundation along with other donors. Its mission is to promote understanding of Native Southwest peoples' artistic, cultural, and intellectual achievements.
