Kirtland Air Force Base is preparing to release its economic impact report on August 13. The base, established in 1942, has been a key economic contributor in New Mexico. The upcoming report will outline the contributions of the Kirtland National Security Complex to Albuquerque's economy and beyond.
Sandia National Labs Director Laura McGill and Kirtland Air Force Base Commander Col. Justin Secrest are expected to attend the event. It will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors, located at 1635 University Blvd. NE.
