Representative Alan Martinez has extended an invitation to New Mexico Department of Transportation Secretary Ricky Serna to participate in a town hall meeting in Rio Rancho. The meeting will address safety concerns along NM 528, particularly near the Pasilla/Riversedge corridor. The event is set for Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Church of the Incarnation on Monterrey Road NE.
"My constituents are deeply concerned for their safety and the safety of all motorists who travel this corridor," said Rep. Martinez. "It’s time for a fresh look at what can be done to make NM 528 safer. This townhall is an opportunity for myself, community leaders, and Secretary Serna to hear directly from the community and offer insight into potential solutions."
The town hall aims to discuss possible safety improvements and seek transparency from state officials responsible for road safety in New Mexico. Rep. Martinez encourages public participation in the discussion.
