Main Street America has announced awards for the Raton and Alamogordo MainStreet districts. The awards were given during the Main Street Now Conference held in Philadelphia in early April. These awards are part of the initiative to revitalize and bolster historic downtowns and neighborhood commercial areas throughout the nation.
"I am thrilled for Raton and Alamogordo MainStreet programs to be recognized on a national level," said New Mexico Economic Development Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. Keyes. She highlighted the important role these districts play in community development and economic growth.
The New Mexico Economic Development Department supports the MainStreet programs as they contribute significantly to local economies. "These honors are a testament to the commitment of our local leaders and volunteers who work tirelessly on behalf of our MainStreet programs," Keyes added.
