Rachel Kilman has been named the February 2025 Pepsi Teacher of the Month. Kilman, who teaches at New Futures High School, was selected as part of a long-standing partnership between Pepsi and the APS Education Foundation. This initiative aims to honor exceptional teachers within the district for their significant contributions to education and the community.

The selection process involves randomly choosing one APS school each month. The principal or staff from that school then selects a teacher to receive this recognition. Honorees are awarded a $100 check from Pepsi and are acknowledged on various platforms including the APS website, Facebook page, and electronic billboards.

Additionally, Dion's is in its second year of participating by providing gift cards to recognized teachers. These awards serve as a token of appreciation for the dedication shown by many educators in Albuquerque Public Schools.
