Julia Sclafani, a Public Relations Specialist, announced that the New Mexico Early Childhood Education & Care Department (ECECD) will implement a 7% rate increase for early intervention services in fiscal year 2026. This adjustment is intended to enhance support for children and families in need of these essential services.
The ECECD has taken this step to ensure that service providers can continue offering high-quality care and interventions. The department believes that the rate increase will contribute positively to the overall development and well-being of children receiving early intervention services.
The new rates are expected to take effect at the beginning of the fiscal year, providing additional resources for programs aimed at supporting young children's growth and learning.
