Governor appoints Crystal Lees as Second Judicial District Court judge

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has appointed Crystal Lees as a judge for the Second Judicial District Court. This appointment comes after the retirement of Judge Debra Ramirez.

Crystal Lees has been serving as a domestic relations hearing officer for the Second Judicial District Court since 2018. In this role, she has overseen hearings related to child custody, divorce, and child support matters. Lees graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law and was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 2012.

Lees will officially begin her new position on January 18, 2025.
