Governor Lujan Grisham honors late Rep. Eliseo Lee Alcon

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham expressed her condolences following the death of former Representative Eliseo Lee Alcon. Alcon was known for his service to the state, including 16 years in the legislature and as a combat medic in Vietnam, where he earned a Bronze Star.

In her statement, Governor Lujan Grisham highlighted Alcon's dedication to public service and his impact on veterans, workers, and families throughout New Mexico. "Rep. Alcon served our state with honor, distinction, and longstanding dedication to his constituents in western New Mexico," she said.

Alcon chaired both the Consumer and Public Affairs Committee and the Labor, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee during his time in office. The governor extended her sympathies to Alcon's family, friends, colleagues, and the communities he served.
