The Sierra Club has issued a response to the Governor's Climate Task Force Report. Camilla Feibelman, Director of the Rio Grande Chapter of the Sierra Club, expressed appreciation for the task force's efforts in addressing climate issues.
Feibelman stated, "We are encouraged by the Climate Task Force’s recommendations and look forward to working with the state to implement strong climate action." She highlighted the importance of immediate and decisive action in combating climate change.
The report from the task force includes several recommendations aimed at reducing emissions and promoting renewable energy sources. The Sierra Club supports these initiatives and emphasizes their potential impact on environmental sustainability.
"We believe that New Mexico can be a leader in renewable energy and sustainable practices," Feibelman added. The organization plans to continue its advocacy for policies that align with these goals.
