The UNM Law Library is extending its services to both attorneys and the public, offering assistance in person and online. The library's operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (MT) Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (MT) on Fridays.
Members of the public and legal professionals can access the library’s print collection during these hours. Visitors are encouraged to bring their laptops or tablets to utilize a wide range of online research resources available at the facility. Additionally, the library offers email delivery of journal articles and other documents from its collections upon request.
Attorneys who are members of the New Mexico Bar or Tribal Bars can borrow circulating materials at no charge when they visit in person with their bar card. The library also facilitates borrowing materials from other libraries for these attorneys, passing along any charges assessed by the lending institutions.
The UNM Law Library recommends contacting them before visiting as some queries might be resolved online, potentially saving a trip. Their website provides access to Librarian Chat for quick questions and a Public Request Portal for more complex inquiries.
For those needing detailed assistance, scheduling a research consultation via their website is advised to ensure all needs are met during visits.
The Law Library is located at the UNM School of Law at 1117 Stanford Dr. NE in Albuquerque, staffed Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with reference assistance available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
