City offers fall swimming lessons

The City’s Parks and Recreation Department is offering swimming lessons twice weekly from October 3 to 25 at the Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, located at 1401 East Hadley Ave., and the Las Cruces Natatorium, located at 1405 E. Hadley Ave.

All classes will be held on Thursdays and Fridays, with eight classes per session. Each class will last for 30 minutes, except for adult classes which will be 60 minutes.

The costs for swim lessons are as follows:

- Parent and Me: $45 per session

- Level 1 (Pre-School and Learn to Swim): $45 per session

- Level 2 (Pre-School and Learn to Swim): $45 per session

- Level 3 (Pre-School and Learn to Swim): $60 per session

- Level 4 (Learn to Swim only): $60 per session

- Adult Swim Lessons: $60 per session

Registration will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, at the Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center.

Swim lessons will run from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with exact times provided on the day of registration.

Participants who do not have a Red Cross completion card must take a swim evaluation if they are seeking to register for Level 2 and above. Swim evaluations will be available from September 24 to September 27, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. No swim evaluations will be conducted during registration times. Class space is limited.
