The City of Las Cruces Public Works Department will host a public engagement event from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the downtown Farmers & Crafts Market of Las Cruces on Main Street to review the University Avenue Corridor Study.
Residents are invited to join City staff near the 200 block of N. Main Street to share their thoughts on improving University Avenue. Comments can be made in person at this event, via an interactive map on the City website, or by calling 575/528-3142.
The project is located within City Council District 2.

Join us for a multi-day workshop envisioning the future of the El Paseo and S. Solano MRA area. During this workshop, various design options will be explored. The City of Las Cruces Housing & Neighborhood Services section has prepared a report on Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) activities and status.
Attention high school students! If you are curious about how various City departments impact daily life, there is an opportunity to learn more about city operations. Realize Las Cruces Public Comment will take place on September 10, 2024, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the East Mesa Public Safety Complex, Main Conference Room at 550 N Sonoma.
Additionally, there will be financial literacy sessions conducted by the City of Las Cruces and the United Way of Southwest New Mexico covering topics such as budgeting and financial planning.
The OIR Group, hired by the City of Las Cruces in 2021 to audit the police department, will host a community outreach meeting on Monday, August 26, 2024.
