ALBUQUERQUE – As summer arrives, the City of Albuquerque is ensuring that families continue to have access to essential resources and support. With children out of school, the City has implemented various programs to help maintain health and safety.
Summer lunches are being provided at over 75 locations across city parks and community centers. In addition to these meals, emergency food boxes and clothing banks are available year-round at Health & Social Services Centers.
“Our families need to know they are supported all year long,” said Youth and Family Services Director Kata Sandoval. “Our hope is that we can always connect folks with the resources they need to keep them healthy and thriving.”
The City offers several summer resources for families:
- Summer Youth Programs: Available at Whittier & Snow Park Community Centers.
- Family Clothing Bank: Call ahead for more information.
- Food Assistance: Contact one of the four Health & Social Service Centers for a food box.
- Summer Lunches: Free lunches for ages 1-18 at parks and community centers across Albuquerque.
