The City of Albuquerque's Small Business Office, Planning Department, and Job Training Albuquerque are collaborating to host an upcoming Small Business Resource Fair during Small Business Month. The event aims to connect attendees with over 30 organizations dedicated to fostering business development. Representatives from various city departments, lending institutions, marketing agencies, among others will be present to provide assistance and support.

The fair is scheduled for Monday, May 13, 2024, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Don Newton-Taylor Ranch Community Center in Albuquerque. The first 100 participants will receive a complimentary voucher for an on-site local food truck. Attendees are requested to RSVP at abqedd.com/events.

In addition to networking opportunities, participants will gain insights into the comprehensive services provided by Job Training Albuquerque (JTA). JTA offers over 100 skills-based training programs across various industries at no cost to small businesses. Applications for these training programs are currently being accepted by JTA.

"We believe that empowering our local entrepreneurs is vital for the growth and prosperity of Albuquerque. These Small Business Resource Fairs are designed to be a one-stop-shop for anyone looking to start or enhance their business. We are excited to bring together a diverse range of organizations to support our vibrant small business community, and those who are looking to start on an entrepreneurial path," said Economic Development Director Max Gruner.

The event is free and open to the public. Whether attendees have an established business or are interested in starting one, they will find everything they need to initiate and expand their entrepreneurial ventures at this fair.
