APD detectives have made a breakthrough in a recent case, arresting two suspects accused of a heinous crime. Joshua Dominguez, 23, and Destiny Marquez, 21, have been apprehended for the murder of a woman in the early hours of Friday, March 15, in the vicinity of 1921 Broadway Blvd., N.E.

Marquez revealed to detectives that she and Dominguez, her fiancé, were at their apartment on 310 Indian School Rd., N.E., near I-40, when they heard a car alarm. Upon investigation, they spotted a female allegedly burglarizing Dominguez's vehicle. Following a confrontation, the situation escalated tragically.

According to reports, Marquez initially claimed self-defense, alleging that the woman had attacked Dominguez. However, surveillance footage contradicted this account, showing a brutal assault involving multiple individuals and culminating in the victim being run over by a vehicle.

After the incident, Marquez and Dominguez were seen transferring items from the vehicle involved in the crime to another car. Detectives promptly intervened, detaining the suspects and impounding the vehicles for further investigation.

Both Marquez and Dominguez are facing serious charges, including murder, conspiracy, and tampering with evidence. They have been remanded to the Metro Detention Center to await legal proceedings.
