The New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA) announced the second edition of the New Mexico Taste the Tradition Holiday Lookbook, providing residents with a 58-page online gift guide showcasing locally grown and crafted products. This initiative, launched in 2023, aims to encourage support for businesses within the state, allowing consumers to explore unique gifts made in New Mexico.
Starting with the contents of the lookbook, The 2023 edition of the lookbook showcases businesses previously featured at the New Mexico State Fair's Country Store in Albuquerque. Beyond New Mexico products, the book introduces NEW MEXICO—Taste the Tradition Chef Ambassadors Jon Young and Jordan Isaacson on pages six and eight. Selected for the second class of the NMDA’s Chef Ambassador program in early 2023, these chefs contribute with unique recipes and cooking demonstrations, according to a press release by NMDA.
Turning our attention towards comments from state officials, "NMDA is pleased to present the 2023 New Mexico Taste the Tradition Holiday Lookbook, which features unique New Mexico products that highlight the state’s traditions, especially during the magic of holiday season," said NM Secretary of Agriculture Jeff Witte, according to a press release by NMDA. "All of products in this book come from local businesses that are backbone of New Mexico’s economy. I encourage you to take a look, shop local and share all that makes New Mexico special place that it is."
Moving on to some specific participants, Snugglecubs Cookies, a family-owned and -operated business located in Albuquerque, will be featured in lookbook, according to a press release by NMDA.
